TrustMRR's number one company last synced its revenue in November 2025

It is not alone. I read all 12,255 public TrustMRR profiles, one by one, at the rate the site itself allows. 950 of them display revenue whose payment provider connection has expired, and the site keeps showing the number without saying it has stopped. Those 950 profiles carry 47% of all the revenue the site displays, a share that falls to 15% once the four largest are removed. Both numbers are below, with the method.

The top four companies on the overall leaderboard are all in this state. The first one shows a 30-day revenue figure last synced on 10 November 2025, a number frozen for almost a year, displayed next to figures from today.

How much of this is just four companies. A fair question to ask, and the answer is most of the dollar figure. Those four carry 38.1% of all displayed revenue between them. Remove them and the frozen share falls from 47.1% to 14.6%. Remove every merchant of record, whose gross volume includes money that belongs to its sellers, and it is 33.2%. You should run that check, and this page gives you the numbers to run it with rather than waiting for you to find them.

The claim that does not move with concentration is the count. 950 of 12,253 profiles carrying a revenue figure, or 7.8%, display one whose payment connection has expired. That share is the same whichever companies you remove. And the concentration is not a weakness in the finding, it is the finding. The four largest numbers on a leaderboard whose entire premise is that revenue is verified rather than claimed are all frozen, the first of them for almost a year.
Why this matters. The whole value of TrustMRR is that revenue is read from the payment provider instead of claimed by the founder. That guarantee holds only while the connection lives. Once it dies, the number keeps the appearance of verification while measuring nothing. The profile page contains the information. The leaderboard does not show it.

The startups listed for sale

2,342 profiles in the corpus are listed for sale, 19.1% of the total. 62 of them display non-zero revenue from an expired connection. Together those listings ask $8,130,343.

For-sale listings whose displayed revenue comes from an expired connection, the fifteen most expensive. The sync column gives the last date the figure actually moved.

How to reproduce this

TrustMRR publishes a Markdown page for every company, meant for AI agents, at the profile URL followed by .md. That page carries two fields the leaderboard does not show.

A profile whose first field contains the word expired is displaying a stopped figure. The site returns x-ratelimit-limit and x-ratelimit-reset headers, so the whole corpus can be read without ever exceeding the published rate. The full collection took one night.

The full dataset

The same work applied to all 2,342 startups listed for sale, with two multiples computed per listing and a filterable table, is in the 6 November 2026 snapshot.

What this audit does not claim. It does not question the site's good faith, nor the accuracy of any figure at the moment it was read. Connections expire for ordinary reasons, a revoked key, a cancelled subscription, a closed account. The finding is one thing only, a stopped number is presented as a current one.
